Staging & Props

This one-of-a-kind custom stage was designed and built in Montreal specifically for ‘Ulalena and was transported and assembled here in Lahaina, Maui.

  • (4) Four built-in computerized stage elevators can be raised over 7 feet high
  • 22 Foot wide rotating turntable
  • Multiple aerial and acrobat apparatus with computer controlled accuracy
  • Many curtains, 50x25 cyclorama, scrims and screens supporting image projections are also used to create the unique look of ‘Ulalena.

Lighting

The lighting system was designed by ARRA Montreal with top-of-the-line fixtures by Clay Paky.

  • High-end systems Altman and ETC
  • 24 intelligent moving lights and over 60 conventional fixtures.
  • Whole Hog light boards used to control lights and projectors.
  • Above the stage, computer controlled light system carries 14 moving lights on tracks and pantographs to different stage positions.
  • Custom images are projected on stage by a large 22,000 lumen projector computer controlled.
  • 4 - HES DL-2 digital light fixtures, 6 - 700w moving lights and 12 LED lights are used for special events.

Sound

One of Maui's most top-of-the-line sound systems

  • The main speaker system and the 5.1 surround sound system is Hawai‘i's first L'Acoustic installed sound system utilizing over 20 speakers powered by QSC amps.
  • An automated 32 channel Yamaha digital mixing console is used to control the live band, singers and the special digital effects.
  • A 24 channel digital playback system, top-of-the-line wireless microphones, stage monitors, in-ear monitors and specific selection of microphones for ethnic percussions and musical instruments.
